About John

From early internet infrastructure to AI-native enterprise systems.

John’s career has followed the evolution of technology itself while remaining focused on the same underlying problem: how do you make complex systems work reliably in the real world?

He is not an engineer who later became an entrepreneur, or an entrepreneur who happens to understand technology. His work combines technical systems, entrepreneurship, management and company building.

That combination was formed over more than two decades: from the physical infrastructure that connected organisations to the internet, through safety-critical aviation and airport environments, to enterprise systems, recurring services, software products and artificial intelligence.

The thread is not a list of technologies. It is a way of seeing the whole operating environment—and accepting responsibility for whether it works.

1999

Early internet infrastructure

Giant International

John’s professional technology journey reaches back to Ghana’s early commercial internet era. He participated in work involving a 7.8-metre satellite earth station, an associated network operations centre, radio distribution infrastructure, organisational internet connections, Ericsson PBX systems, networking and early fibre links.

This was infrastructure-led technology: connectivity depended on physical systems, field execution, monitoring and disciplined operations.

2001–07

Safety-critical systems

Ghana Civil Aviation

Working as an Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel professional, John’s experience extended across communications, navigation and surveillance systems supporting air traffic management—including radar, microwave and satellite communications, localisers and VOR systems.

In aviation, reliability is not a slogan. Dependencies, maintenance, procedures, human responsibility and recovery all matter.

2007–15

Integrated operating environments

Ghana Airports Company

John’s work moved into airport technology environments spanning networks, CCTV, flight information displays, common-use check-in and gate systems, screening systems and the integration work required to make multiple operational technologies function together.

The airport became another lesson in interfaces: the visible experience depends on many systems, owners and handoffs working as one.

Entrepreneurship and management

John began operating Delbond in 2004 alongside his technical career. The company’s work has evolved across infrastructure, networking, systems integration, enterprise technology, software and AI.

Alongside practical company building, he completed Empretec—the entrepreneurship development programme created by UNCTAD—strengthening his approach to opportunity, management, commercial decisions and growth.

Turning systems knowledge into products

Today, through Delbond Teknologies, John is helping build Nunya OS, UniFi Campus Internet and nterco. The work brings physical infrastructure, recurring service operations, enterprise software, professional networks and governed AI into the same practical field of view.

The objective is not to follow technology fashion. It is to build useful capacity that can be operated, maintained and improved.
